In a career stretching over 50 years, Bob Bodden has been an announcer, newscaster, general manager and station owner, and industry leader. He began his career at WISN-AM, Milwaukee, in 1941 and later built stations WRCO-AM, Richland Center (1949), WSWW-AM/FM, Platteville (1955) and WMIR-AM, Lake Geneva (1964), managing the Platteville stations from 1955-83. Bodden was President of the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association in 1965-67 and served as its Executive Director form 1982-1988. He was appointed to the Wisconsin Educational Communications Board, the governing board of the state's public broadcasting system, in 1987 and was elected its Chair in 1991.
