The WBA Doug Chickering – WIAA Sports Workshop was at Lambeau Field in Green Bay on Thursday, during Packer’s training camp.
After an introduction from WBA President and CEO Michelle Vetterkind and Doug Chickering, attendees heard first from Doug Russell, Sports Director for iHeart Media and Wes Hodkiewiicz, Senior Writer for Packers.com who talked about covering the Packers and the upcoming football season.
The workshop then moved over to Lambeau Field where the group watched the Packers take the traditional bike ride to the practice field riding on bikes brought by young Packer fans.
After watching the Packers practice, the group was treated to lunch and a presentation from WIAA Director of Communications Todd Clark who talked about the state of high school athletics.
To cap off the day, the group went back to Lambeau Field to tour the press and media production facilities.
